Use this LC Multimode Fiber Media Converter Gigabit 10/100/1000 RJ45 as an easy way to extend the distance of network nodes up to 550M. It converts Cat5e UTP cables to multimode fiber optic. This LC media converter features automatic MDI/MDI-X configuration and the UTP port senses the network speed automatically. The unit auto-detects half or full duplex operation on the fiber port. This Tripp Lite media converter has its power supplied by a small form factor AC adapter. It features two ports and an RJ-45 network. There is not a place for a USB or DVI, and no way to manage ports. This converter supports optical fiber as well as twisted pair media types. The fiber mode that it supports is multi-mode. The maximum distance that it can support is 1,804.46 feet. Gigabit Ethernet is the Ethernet technology that it uses. It has a small compact design that allows you to put it in a small space.
