The BEP MD range of battery switches allows you to conveniently install the battery switch near the battery for managing high electrical loads on modern boats. This design reduces cable lengths and sizes, leading to cost and weight savings in copper battery cables. Perfect for remote isolation of both bow and stern thrusters, the 720-MDO version is designed for straightforward installation, but also has advanced features for managing multiple voltage circuits from a single supply (e.g., a 48-volt thruster alongside a 24-volt house supply). The innovative optical sensor is easy to connect for standard setups and enables control over different voltage circuits such as 36 or 48 volts. Capable of switching both positive and negative lines, the main contacts can be separated from the control circuit, allowing operation via an alternative battery source. Additionally, the optical sensor operates with a low standby current draw of less than 5mA.
